Well, we got from here . . . . . . to here . . .. . . to here.
We got from this announcement at four weeks pregnant . . . to Eric via a pie and a card and a positive pregnancy test on the anniversary of our engagement . . . . . . to this announcement at seven weeks pregnant . . . to the boys via their baby books and ultrasound pictures and "Mommy has another baby in her belly!" . . . . . . to this announcement at seven and eight weeks pregnant . . . to our families via a shirt that was and was not immediately noticed, depending on who was doing the noticing or not noticing.. . . and finally to this announcement at thirteen weeks pregnant . . . to the rest of our people via Facebook and Instagram.
My belly and my baby and I got from here at six weeks pregnant . . . . . . to here at thirty-six weeks pregnant. (Now basically thirty-seven.)
We got from holding our breath every prenatal visit just waiting to hear that heartbeat to . . . "Oh my goodness, it's like he was knocking!" (Eric) and "I think he's confused about how he gets out" (me).
Pretty sure we have another very active little boy. π
And speaking of prenatal visits, we got from here at our very first appointment at twelve weeks pregnant . . .. . . to here, just today, at our home visit at thirty-six weeks pregnant. We have the very best midwives. π MidValley Birthing Services, if you need a recommendation.
And in between all the here's and there's, there was a whole lot of this. And this. And that. In other words, lots of supplements and tinctures and walking and stretching and to-do listing.
And now I canβt wait to get from here . . . . . . to there (plus a sweet baby, of course).
βI want the baby to roll out of your tummy,β said Sebastian. βI want the baby to roll out of your tummy in the middle of the night,β said Alec.
Me too, boys. Me too.
