On a cold March day in 2023, a small boy set out to paint. He painted all morning, and what he painted were roses. Fifty or sixty of them, all lined up on the counter to dry.

Unbeknownst to him, his mom created cards from his paintings, and when they arrived in the mail, he was ecstatic.
